In honour of Mum’s birthday, a tea shop.
If I could bring you anywhere Mum, it would be here. Where we could sit and partake in endless cups of tea, and while away the hours after spending a morning enriching ourselves at the Rijksmuseum.

So much to do, so little time! It was up early in order to fit everything in today! It was one of the few days where we did have a timing deadline, as I had organised to meet up with friends in the evening.
In this vein we did something that I hadn’t actually planned for and wasn’t on the itinerary. We headed to Loop, the yarn shop.
I was so good! I was so strong! I made it out of there with no purchases! Hooray me! (I think Himself went into shock!) Would you like to know more?
My little blog is growing up! As I become affiliated with more sites, the readership keeps growing each week. It’s hard to believe that it began just 3 short years ago as my weekend wanderings around the Inner West of Sydney.
Happy Birthday little Ghoti Industries Blog!
In the intervening years I have travelled to Cairns, Christchurch, Paris, Prague, and we now live in Amsterdam in the Netherlands! And through the blog you have all come with me on these adventures. Would you like to know more?
Via a friend I heard about a website called Society6. A website where you can upload your photos, retain the rights to them, and they look after the printing, shipping, payment features, and re-sizing. Dream come true right?!
I have spent a fair amount of time in this last week selecting and sizing and uploading some of my vast collection of work which is now available for sale. Here it is, at long last, the Ghoti Industries Society6 store!
I have begun my store with some of my favourite photos, of some of my favourite places.
For those of you paying close attention, I have also added the link to the right hand column of this blog’s main page, and I have been tweeting some of my uploading progress via Twitter!
Now not only can you purchase my quality produced art prints, but you can choose between framed art, stretched canvases, note cards, phone covers, and phone skins, all with my stunning high quality photography on them.
I know some of you already have prints of some of these pictures hanging in your houses, and some of you have always wanted prints of my work for your very own to display, now is your opportunity.
Hang them on the wall, carry them with you, or send them to friends! I love the versatility and the possibilities available to you via Society6.
So please have a look, and if you like what you see, buy some! Then tell your friends! If you don’t like what you see, tell me so I can fix it! 😉
I’d like to thank Grace and Ivy for the introduction to such a wonderful opportunity, and to show you all her store also!
I scream,
You scream,
We all scream
For Ice Cream!
Did I mention we had been informed of a supposedly excellent ice cream shop just near where we live? Probably not. Well, we had. And what better excuse to go exploring than ice cream?!
We found it! And going by the number of local families who appeared to be taking the kids there as a Sunday treat, it indicated good things to me regarding the quality of the product we were about to sample!
With this many flavours going it made it difficult to choose which we would indulge in first!
But choose we did (eventually). Himself went for two scoops of blueberry in a waffle cone, while I indulged myself with a scoop each of strawberry cheesecake and stroopwaffel!
All three were absolutely delicious. Smooth, creamy, and rich in flavour. I am now looking forward to going back and trying a few more flavours!
I’m going to have to get more rigorous about going for rides in the woods to burn it all off!
