Picnic Time
Summer had a bit of a reprise last week, and so, after a series of events which had left us with a single bicycle for a while, and then suddenly being a two bicycle home again, we decided to head out on what might well be a final picnic of the season.
We made out way down to Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam Woods), because when you live as close to Vondel Park as we (and the rest of Amsterdam) does, sometimes you want somewhere a bit quieter. Would you like to know more?
Roast Duck
For those of you with long memories you might remember that Giftmas Day cooking last year was a new and unequivocal low point in my kitchen efforts. But not to be dissuaded, when I found a frozen duck the other day at the markets, I was all over it!
Pulling out the same recipe, I was determined to attempt this again, and be successful! Would you like to know more?
Leiden – Part 2

Netherlands markets are just amazing and wonderful! There is so much to see, hear, smell, and touch, they inspire all your senses. Would you like to know more?
Leiden
In our continuing effort to get to know people, and to further explore our new country, Himself signed us up for a photographic walking tour of Leiden.
To say that I was reticent and sceptical is being far too generous, but I did want to explore. So a bright sunny (grey, rainy) Saturday we packed ourselves off to the train station, and were on our way! Would you like to know more?
