Brussels, Belgium – Part 1

Brussels is the capital city of Belgium and home to the headquarters of the European Union also. Now, Himself and I had stopped in to Brussels once before on La Duchessa, but it’s hard to walk around and see all the things you want to see when you’re in full motorbike armour!

We knew we wanted to do some justice to Brussels, as it has so much to offer. So went back for a whole weekend in order to see some of the things we had just glimpsed from the back of the bike. Would you like to know more?

We have a motorbike. We live on Continental Europe. It is Summer. We have access to Autobahns. All of this must reach only one conclusion. We leather up, straddle the beast, and head East! Before we leave the Netherlands though, I’d like to draw your attention to not only how flat the Netherlands is, but how there is enough water that they don’t bother with fencing in the fields. But there were ancient ruins to see, so eventually I moved on, just in a calmer and more serene state of mind. Pizza topping of choice was parma ham with mushrooms. Would you like to know more?

Italy, Rome – Part 4

In order to pay proper homage to Apollo, one must go to where can truly feel his presence! (I’m sure it doesn’t hurt if you’re slightly awed by the size of the doors either!)

Yes, we went back to the Pantheon during daylight hours. Partly in order to bear witness to his eternal passage across the sky, by following the sun spot on the dome. Would you like to know more?
