There are certain things which people see as quintessentially Amsterdam. Of course, when you’re being tour guide, you tend to take people to the things that call to them the loudest. In the case of N, his Mecca was and is, the Heineken Brewery.
From what I understand the brewery is no longer in this space, but the building is preserved now in the form of the “Heineken Experience”. Himself and I left them to this one while we went off to sit in a café and have cake!
Himself’s Sister wanted to go to the Rijksmuseum not once in the week she stayed with us, but four times!
And we still didn’t get to see all of it! I must admit, this made me feel better about never being able to see everything in one day! Would you like to know more?

Sometimes you just need to inject some humour into your day.
Sometimes you just need to stop what you’re doing and go to the museum. Well, you may not. But I do.
I was determined to go and see the Rijksmuseum library which I keep seeing references to online. So I pulled myself together, put my coat on, and headed out into the wilds of the day! Would you like to know more?
