Italy, Florence – Part 2

I promised more leather, and as we set out into Florence it was exactly what we found! I had managed to set us up in a hotel just up the road from the famous San Lorenzo Markets!

I had been looking forward to going to these markets since first finding out about the online, once I got there though, I was a little disheartened to find the sales push was so intense. It made it quite overwhelming. Luckily, we were able to escape into the Medici Chapels. Would you like to know more?

Italy, Florence – Part 1

Florence was beautiful. Florence is beautiful. It is patently obvious from the moment you step off the train why so many people yearn to go there, and then forever yearn to go back again. I purposely organised all our travel days to have no commitments other than travel, and was rewarded for this when the travel ended up being really easy and uncomplicated!

We arrived with no hassles, walked our bags to the new hotel, got settled, and then were free to head out and roam around this beautiful city! Would you like to know more?

Italy, Venice – Part 4

There is so much to see and do in Venice, and this becomes a little bit tricky when you are there anywhere near a full moon in October it seems!

Yes, we were there for some interesting water levels. No where near as high as it can go, not even Aqua Alta (high water), but still enough that we had to look for a couple of alternate routes! Would you like to know more?

Sydney – Part 4

With Just a couple of days left to go in our Whirlwind Antipodean Tour we decided to go where everyone should go at least once in their lives (if not many, many times!), to Taronga Zoo.

We took a slightly circuitous route to get there though, going via Manly (back on the ferry) to dump our bags with the relos before heading out. And a grand day we picked for it too!

Sydney – Part 3

One of the most beautiful places that you can go while in Sydney is of course the Queen Victoria Building.

While Himself spent a day in the office, I was free to wander around town doing whatever I saw fit. So I pottered around in here for a while, catching up with some of my favourite shops and seeing what was on offer. Would you like to know more?
