Yep. Robinsons Bay. One of the many places we are blessed enough to consider home.
The silence was something that both Himself and I wished to reacquaint ourselves with. That night we sat there in silence, sipping on a nice red wine, munching our sandwiches, and contemplating the larger, and smaller questions of life.
We awoke at a respectable hour, and after a slight hot water malfunction (we forgot to turn it on the night before), we headed into town for a relaxed breakfast.
A relaxed but substantial breakfast!
It is a small part of the world, but it resonates loudly with us both.
We were tasked with checking to see if there was much damage from the storm a few days ago, which gave us the perfect excuse to wander along the beach for a while.
Something that will always bring a smile to my face is all the little facets of life, and how they exist, and co-exist with nature. The rock pools along the shore were teeming with active life! But you had to stop and look for it!
The bigger picture was much more calm and serene.
It was time to get back to the business of partying though! And party we did! For many hours! Somewhere in the middle of the party we all stopped to admire the fish that had been caught too!
It was that kind of party.
Others were happy to remain on the sidelines!
As we draw near to the conclusion of this section of our trip, there are still many more adventures to be had! Stay with me, and I’ll see you for the next episode shortly!
It’s no wonder this place is one you’d return to — it looks beautiful and like just the place to sit and simply be. I hope you had time to sit on the sidelines as well as partake in the partying 😀
In Akaroa all we did was stop. It was wonderful 🙂
At the party I think Himself and I took turns speaking with everyone! 😀 It was too much fun seeing everyone all in one place again!
That scenery is absolutely breathtaking!!!
I bet you are going to miss it when you head back. Xo
Every single time. *sighs* Though this time I took video footage, so when we’re feeling a long way away, I can slip in the DVD 🙂
