Noordermarkt with Purpose

As much fun as I had wandering around the markets, I had in fact gone with a purpose in mind.

You see, now that I have a sewing machine again, this is a great place to go to find fabric!

And oh the fabric you will find! From upholstery fabric …

… to sari fabric …

… to textured fabric …

… to comic book fabric …

… to patriotic fabric!

Just when you think you can’t take any more there’s the ribbons and braids!

Of course, not much use having all these things to sew without having all the accoutrements that go with them!

Of course there’s also the option of purchasing things already made from all this fabulousness too!

They’re tissue box covers. Patriotic tissue box covers. That are shaped to look like couches.

It’s so easy to get lots in it all! I could easily have bought everything in sight! But I was only after one little thing. Nope, I’m not going to tell you what, but I’ll show you when it’s finished!

  1. So many potential projects come to mind in a market like this! The wish to buy everything that could become something wonderful would be huge 🙂 The ribbons and bands alone would be a sore temptation. Thank you for taking pictures to share your adventures with us!
